A 3-generation BTO home blending vintage nostalgia with modern family needs through retro details and a calming palette.
This beautiful 3-generation BTO home was designed to capture the warmth and charm of vintage nostalgia while accommodating the needs of a large family, including grandparents. The design pays homage to the past with thoughtful retro elements and a curated selection of colors, textures, and materials.
The color palette blends shades of green, walnut wood, and white, evoking a sense of calm and timelessness. Key vintage features include ventilation blocks, patterned glass, and a vintage granite-look tabletop that enhances the retro ambiance.
The flooring mimics the old-school terrazzo floors commonly found in traditional homes, creating an authentic nostalgic touch. For the windows, we selected black-and-white bamboo blinds, providing a subtle contrast against the light brown walls and adding to the home's retro aesthetic.
The dining area is a centerpiece of the design, where a custom dining table seamlessly fits the vintage theme, complemented by a famous Chinese calligraphy piece that heightens the sense of nostalgia.
One of the standout elements of the project is the altar cabinet. At the owner's request, we created a unique design by incorporating the "Insight Out" round logo into the cabinet, giving it a personal and artistic flair that ties the entire home together.
This project beautifully balances modern family needs with the classic charm of vintage design, creating a space that feels both nostalgic and welcoming for generations to come.
